Dwellingup Spring Splendour

The outdoor recreation and leisure group Great Walk Network promotes appreciation of the environment while walking and camping in the bush.  Its multi-day camps with day hikes are in some of the most beautiful regions of Western Australia.

Coming up soon (24 September to 2 October) is the Network’s Spring Splendour walk in the Jarrah, Marri, Wandoo, Blackbutt and Banksia forests of the Dwellingup and Murray Valley region.

Just 90 minutes’ drive from Perth, the region is accessible and popular for hiking a variety of trails ranging in length and in degree of difficulty. A large section of the Bibbulmun Track is accessible from Dwellingup and the Network’s campsite.

Dwellingup’s wonderful natural assets make it an outstanding trails centre.

The campsite at Jarrahfall is just over a kilometre from Dwellingup off the Dwellingup/Williams road. It is on private land in an open paddock surrounded by State forest. There are no facilities and campers will be totally self-sufficient, occupying the area on a ‘leave no trace’ basis.

From noon Friday 2 October to Sunday 4 October there is a family friendly festival, Jarrahfall Food and Folk Festival on the grounds. For more on this, click here.
