Birdwatching outing at Bibra Lake

Bibra Lake is a part of the Beeliar Wetlands chain and a large number of bushbirds and waterbirds can be seen here. Over 130 bird species have been recorded in this reserve.

BirdLife Western Australia runs a variety of activities for members and the broader community and has a walk around Bibra Lake planned for Sunday 10 March starting at 7.30 am.

The 8 km walk will take 3-4 hours and will include visits to two bird hides and for those who don’t want to walk the full distance – a car can be left at the halfway mark, if you let the leader know.

The meeting point at the start is in the southern-most car park off Progress Drive, nearest to the jetty and the main amenities block and close to Gwilliam Drive.
