Nature Connection excursions helps kids consciously connect

The WA Parks Foundation’s theme this year is “Consciously Connect”, and we are delighted with the success of the highly engaging Nature Connection schools’ excursions series.

This eight-week immersive program in outdoor learning environments supports teachers in techniques that inspire and enhance engagement with their students to foster a deep connection with nature.

It is run by Educated by Nature as the Foundation’s delivery partner and has been made possible through the generous funding support of the Australian Gas Infrastructure Group.

Programs have been completed at two primary schools in the Mandurah region (Glencoe; Ocean Road) and two primary schools in the Perth Region (Grovelands, Westfield Park).

Six short videos featuring students and teachers involved will be promoted throughout the year, under the WA Parks Foundation’s Spring into Parks banner. Nature Connection Series #1 ‘Developing a Sense of Self” can be viewed here.
