Open Day at Government House
GOVERNMENT HOUSE OPEN DAY
SUNDAY 30 APRIL 2017, 11.00AM TO 3.00PM
Her Excellency the Honourable Kerry Sanderson AC, Governor of Western Australia, invites visitors to explore Government House and Grounds at an autumn Open Day on Sunday, 30 April 2017 between 11.00am and 3.00pm. Themed ‘Having a Voice’, this Open Day is in support of the National Trust’s 2017 Australian Heritage Festival.
The whole family will enjoy a self-guided tour of the State’s number one listed heritage building, which has been the home of successive Governors of Western Australia since 1863. Cellar and Meet the Gardener tours (these tours can take limited numbers and should be booked early to avoid disappointment) will reveal intriguing stories and you can learn more about Government House history. There will be a variety of entertainment and exhibitions for visitors to enjoy and refreshments for purchase.
Several of the Governor’s patronage organisations that have a focus on nature and environment will be on display, as well as the WA Parks Foundation.
