A gateway park and only 35 minutes from the centre of Perth, John Forrest offers a natural bushland experience with undulating hills, granite outcrops, seasonal waterfalls and more than 500 varieties of wildflowers.
Several trails run through the park, including the Railway Heritage Trail, which follows the alignment of the old railway line to York.
The Parks and Wildlife Service of the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions is making a significant investment to the park infrastructure and the Foundation has sourced additional funding to progress and improve this natural jewel on Perth’s doorstep.
The revitalisation project will provide an improved visitor experience, including enhanced picnic and day-use facilities, trails network, café, visitor and interpretive centre and landscaping.
