BirdLife Western Australia – Walk – Star Swamp, North Beach

Join BirdLife WA for a half-day birdwatching excursion at Star Swamp, part of the Northern Swan Coastal Plain Key Biodiversity Area (KBA) for Carnaby’s Black-cockatoo. This area features Tuart and banksia woodland and heath, providing a habitat for over 70 bird species.

Species you may spot include the Variegated Fairy-Wren, White-Winged Fairy-Wren, Southern Boobook, and Carnaby’s Black-Cockatoo. Additionally, a variety of raptors and bushbirds can be observed.

Please bring a chair and some morning tea for when we compile the bird list. This event is for BLWA members and their guests, but members of the public are welcome to join the walk and are encouraged to bring a pair of binoculars.
