Explore: Experience the magic of Perup: Nature’s Guesthouse
Experience a night or two, or a whole week in the jarrah forest of the South West. Listen to the sounds of the bush and breathe in the pure air. Spotlight for native animals, explore the walk trails, star-gaze our southern skies or enjoy the wild flowers in spring.
Walk trails – Starting and finishing just below the Homestead, there are five walk trails to take you through the habitats where you are most likely to see some of the rare and endangered fauna that lives in the forest surrounding Perup: Nature’s Guesthouse.
The trails are specifically designed to give you a good chance to see the woylie, western ringtail possum, quenda and numbat. Walking these trails around sunrise and sunset will give you a very good chance of seeing some of Perup’s unique native residents.
Alternatively take out some torches and walk the trails at night for the chance to see possums, phascogales and possibly even a chuditch.
Wildflowers – The Tone-Perup Nature Reserve is home to over 600 species of native plants – including rare and unusual native orchids – many of which are unique to the region. Perup: Nature’s Guesthouse is also a good base to explore nearby areas recognised for their beautiful wildflowers including Orchid Valley, Mayanup Reserve and Winnejup Reserve.
Accommodation – There are three self-contained accommodation options available for your next wilderness retreat.
Discover Perup: Nature’s Guesthouse for yourself. It is one of the South West’s best-kept secrets!
