Explore: Stargazing at the York Festival!

Witness one of the best star gazing events in WA atop York’s own Wongborel (aka Mount Brown) complete with a sunset picnic and a unique cultural experience.

From 5:30pm. enjoy a hamper from York’s own Gather York overlooking the incredible vista. Then watch Daniel Garlett’s Dadajaal Dance Company as they present the ‘Morning Star” dance before hearing Northam-based Ballardong Noongar storytellers will share stories of the night sky from creation time.

After the sun has set, Riley Johnston will be on site to guide you through an incredible star gazing tour. Riley Johnston is an engaging and highly experienced Stargazers Club WA Astronomy Guide who has been working within the astronomy community for several years. He is incredibly passionate about the night sky and is currently completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Math and Education.
