Explore: Walyunga Dreaming | A Cultural Trail Experience

Join The Hike Collective in collaboration with Go Cultural Tours as they bring you this special guided 6km hiking and cultural experience along Syd’s Rapids before sipping on a native bush tea in the beautiful natural surrounds of Walyunga National Park.

With deep significance to the Noongar People, the tree-filled valleys and cooling waters of the Swan River running through Walyunga National Park is home to some of Perth’s best hiking trails.

Archaeological evidence shows the area has been used by local Noongar people for more than 40,000 years –  our Aboriginal guide, Ilona, will guide us through a traditional sand/water ceremony, spoken in language, for safe passage through Boodja (country)

Go Cultural Tours are dedicated to sharing and preserving Perth’s Aboriginal cultural heritage – Ilona will be sure to inspire sharing her love of this beautiful land with rich cultural knowledge on the wildlife, flora and dreamtime stories of the area.

The Hike Collective will guide you on your short rivers edge hike and share some of the little known European settlement stories that have occurred in more recent times in this region. With a combination of beautiful views, national park scenery, an abundance of flora and fauna, cultural history, and of course a chance for some wildlife spotting, this experience is a great adventure for the curious hiker.
