Tourism achievements by Park Ambassadors win gold
Among the key strengths of the WA Parks Foundation are its 51 Park Ambassadors. These are people who love our WA parks, inspiring in others an appreciation of their uniqueness and value to the community.
We were delighted at the news recently of success achieved by businesses led by two of our Ambassadors in the 2021 Perth Airport WA Tourism – Business Awards.
Ryan Mossny is co-founder of the recently launched and very exciting Matagarup Zip+Climb which won a gold award in the New Tourism Business category.
Ryan, who has made a huge contribution to tourism in WA, is also Chair of the Forum Advocating Cultural and Eco-Tourism (FACET) and Director and Co-founder of the award winning, Perth-based Two Feet & a Heartbeat Walking Tours experience.
Park Ambassador Kate Gibson is the Founder of The Hike Collective, which took out the Gold Award in the Tour and Transport Operators category.
The Hike Collective is a Perth-based hiking tour operator, hosting over 50 hiking tours within an hour of the Perth CBD and providing a safe space to explore the rugged beauty of Western Australia. The Hike Collective empowers wellbeing and discovery through movement, connection, and nature, providing unique and inclusive trail experiences.
Congratulations Ryan and Kate and their teams at Matagarup Zip+Climb and The Hike Collective.
