BirdLife Western Australia – Walk – Bibra Lake
Join BirdLife WA for a half-day excursion at Bibra Lake, part of the Beeliar Wetlands chain, where over 130 species of bushbirds and waterbirds have been recorded.
Participants will circumnavigate the lake on an 8 km path, visiting two bird hides along the way. The walk will take approximately 3-4 hours. For those who prefer a shorter walk, a car can be left at the halfway mark—just inform the leader in advance. Please bring water, hats, and suitable footwear, as snakes have been seen in the area.
Remember to bring a chair and morning tea for when the bird list is compiled. This event is for BLWA members and their guests, but members of the public are welcome to join the walk and are advised to bring binoculars.
