Event: Celebrate the Quokka Birthday at Rottnest Island

It was recently announced by Tourism Minister Paul Papalia that a universal quokka birthday will be held each September to celebrate Western Australia’s much-loved Rottnest Island local. You’re invited to join in the free fun activities on Sunday 15 September from 10am to 3pm.

Celebrate the uniqueness of the quokka and learn more about these much loved mammals. With party activities, music and entertainment the Quokka Birthday is a fun filled family day. You can get behind the scenes with quokka experts, take a quokka walking tour or find out tips for the perfect quokka selfie!
