Explore: Djilba Guided Walk and Talk with Rickeeta Walley
Join us for a guided walk through Piney Lakes Reserve with Rickeeta Walley, as we explore the Noongar season of Djilba, the season of conception which is marked by the start of mass flowering. In this season, typically from August to September, the South West region experiences a mix of cold, clear days and warmer, windy, and rainy days.
Meeting at the City of Melville EcoHub, your journey begins with a relaxed walk through the Reserve. There will be plenty of stops for yarning and questions, as Rickeeta shares insights on the cultural significance of the land, the six seasons, and the traditional uses of native plants.
Due to the popularity of this event, if you cannot make it please cancel your ticket so that others can attend.
