Explore: Giants of Mandurah Wooden Sculpture Trail
The Giants of Mandurah exhibition by world-renowned Danish artist Thomas Dambo is an epic adventure for all. Enjoy this free outdoor exhibition celebrating extraordinary beauty and the importance of protecting our natural world.
This Australian-first exhibition features at least five site-specific works, with each creature made from recycled materials reaching up to five metres tall and placed in secret locations waiting to be discovered and explored with a handy trail map.
Dambo’s wooden sculptures have been a source of fascination and awe worldwide over the years, popping up in Denmark, Chile, China, France, Germany, South Korea, and the United States of America. For his Peel region installation, the help of locals has been enlisted to help with the creation of the sculptures, giving each their own personality as they tell the story of the Mandurah area intertwined with the creation story as shared by the region’s Traditional Owners, the Bindjareb people.
