Explore: StarGazing at the Lake

As the sun sinks low and the forest begins its nightly transformation, join us for an enchanting evening of nature, stars, and flavour at StarGrazing at the Lake – a limited edition WanderFest experience!

We’ll start with a gentle 3km sunset walk around the lake, immersing ourselves in the sights, sounds, and scents of the bushland as it comes alive at dusk. Listen as birds settle, nocturnal creatures stir, and the forest shifts from daylight to darkness.

Then, lakeside under a canopy of stars, our Astronomer from Star Tracks Astro Events will guide you through the wonders of the night sky — with a stunning quarter moon visible on the September long weekend, you’ll have the chance to see up-close craters through our telescope! Another highlight will be viewing Saturn and its rings as well hearing stories about stars, other planets, and the constellations above.

As you gaze upwards, enjoy a delicious grazing board and a cup of herbal tea, perfectly complementing this magical evening. This unique experience will leave you feeling inspired, grounded, and deeply connected to this beautiful place and its stories.
