This event includes a range of free fun family activities nestled under the trees and throughout the centre, as well as some fantastic sustainability stalls, workshops and talks. Book here.
Sustainable Displays – Learn sustainable practices, tips and tricks from an array of environmentally conscious community groups & organisations.
Composting workshop – Learn all about different composting methods and troubleshoot composting conundrums in this informative workshop.
Reduse, Reuse, Repair, Recycle – Learn different methods of repairing goods and minimising waste before taking part in a recycling challenge!
Sustainable crafts – Make beeswax wraps, seed paper, insect hotels, terrariums – learn how to use repurposed items to create sustainable goods.
Clothes Swap – Bored of your wardrobe? Got items that don’t fit? Kids grown too quickly? Bring along 3 (max) good quality items of clothing to swap!
There will of course be the regular favourites too, including aquatic scooping, guided nature walks, and hands-on nature activities and crafts. You can also explore the centre and meet our animals, test the interactive exhibits, browse the gift shop, and grab a barista coffee, hot chocolate, or sweet treat from our coffee window Twitchers.
This free event is apart of Spring into Parks, a WA Parks Foundation initiative, supported by Lotterywest.
