Feature Event: Retreat To The Sanctuary

Retreat into the Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary for a slow and relaxing day forest bathing amongst spectacular woodland, wildflowers, creeks and waterfalls.

There has never been a better time to explore new well-being opportunities, to embrace the benefits of slowing down for improved physical and mental health.

Your certified forest therapy guide will take you on a journey to recharge and connect with nature. The experience involves a series of reflective practices, sensory exploration and slow movement to help relax, become more present and connect with the natural world.

The group will gather under the Powderbark and Wandoo trees at Paruna Wildlife

Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary, is an important wildlife corridor along the Avon River, just outside of Perth.

You will be guided to engage your senses and tune it to the rhythms of nature. Then wander through the forest on a slow and gentle walk for approximately 2.3km.

The experience concludes with a Japanese inspired tea ceremony followed by a delicious earth-friendly picnic. You will have time to share and reflect, surrounded by bird song and fresh forest air.

Your Forest Bathing Guide is Belinda McCawley, a finalist for the FACET Golden Guide Award in the 2022 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards. Belinda is an INFTA certified Forest Therapy Guide, registered Meditation Facilitator and environmental scientist. Belinda’s mission is to share the practice of forest bathing with people who are keen to improve the quality of their lives.
