Feature Event: Walyunga Bushtucker Experience

Come on a journey to reimagine the great yam garden of Walyunga that once fed 600 people in Djeran (autumn) as they gathered for ceremony.

As a special event for Spring into Parks, you can enjoy a bush tucker experience as you learn about Aboriginal culture at Walyunga National Park.

Join Dale Tilbrook from the nearby award-winning Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery as she shows you the remnants of Noongar yam gardens that were here long before European settlement.

You will also experience a taste of the fresh seasonal foods harvested by Noongar people in the area for countless generations.

This event is not suitable for very young children or strollers because of the terrain.  Please wear good walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen and bring a water bottle.

Bookings are essential and minimum numbers apply.
