The Honourable Kerry Sanderson AC CVO is the former Governor of Western Australia, former Chancellor of Edith Cowan University and is Chair of St John of God Health Care. Previous executive roles include Agent General for Western Australia and CEO of Fremantle Ports, a position she held for 17 years. Other Board roles include Chair of Gold Corporation and of the State Emergency Management Committee and Board member of several listed companies as well as charities.

Leigh-Anne is a Group Director of Shakespeare Total Financial Solutions. She specialises in finding value for her clients through business consulting, tax planning, financial planning strategies and succession planning. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Registered Tax Agent, Financial Planner and Registered Auditor.

Ainslie de Vos has had extensive experience in the private and public sectors during a lengthy career in corporate communication and community relations.  She was Manager External Affairs at Fremantle Ports from 1996 until 2018 and was previously Public Relations Manager at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth. She has an earlier background in radio and television journalism.

Ainslie now works on a voluntary basis as a communication consultant to the WA Parks Foundation and the Perron Institute.

Albert has successfully served his community as a local government Councillor, a Western Australian Member of the Legislative Assembly, a Western Australian Cabinet Minister and now serves as Mayor of the City of Joondalup, one of the largest local governments in Western Australia.

Elisha is a Whadjuk Noongar man and has a background in cultural education and caring for Country. Elisha is employed as Senior Training Manager, First Nations at Murdoch University and as Cultural Educator at Indigenous Economic Solutions (IES). Elisha was previously employed as Program Coordinator of Cultural Capability at Curtin University and prior to Curtin, he was employed by Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) as Noongar Ranger in the Swan Region and as Project Officer of Aboriginal Programs in the Aboriginal Engagement and Heritage Unit.

Richard Simpson has a background in science but has worked in the finance and investment banking sectors for the past 30 years. He has advised corporates and governments around the world in a range of sectors from mining, oil and gas, infrastructure, tourism and agriculture.

Since returning to Perth from London, Sydney and Melbourne, Richard led the management buyout of Hartleys Limited in 2003 and was the inaugural Chairman and Managing Director of the wealth management and corporate advisory firm. He is currently a director of Euroz Hartleys Limited, was the Chairman of Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority (covering Kings Park and Bold Park) from 2002 to 2022 and a member of the State Emergency Management Committee since 2015.

Katie has held senior executive roles in the resources sector across North America, Asia and Australia with Western Mining Corporation, BHP and South32. She has a chartered accounting background and over 30 years’ experience in finance strategy and risk management, investor relations and corporate affairs, and more recently sustainability and human resources strategy. She brings a unique perspective to complex strategic issues and corporate governance matters.

Katie holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Tasmania, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Rickeeta is a Nyoongar woman who has worked in Aboriginal Cultural Education and Engagement for the last decade. Rickeeta has worked in government roles, previously with Department of Health and is currently employed by Kings Park and Botanic Gardens. She also works with her family business Aboriginal Productions as a cultural educator, performer, and researcher. Rickeeta also holds an academic role with the University of Western Australia as a Unit Lecturer and Tutor.

Melanie Wilshin is the General Manager of the WA Parks Foundation. Melanie’s previous leadership roles include Executive Management with Youth Focus, State Manager at Ticketek, Senior Manager at Mellen Events and her early career included management roles in Association Management and Conference industries in London and Vancouver.
