EPA appointment announced

The WA Parks Foundation congratulates Dr Regina Flugge on her recent appointment to the independent Environmental Protection Authority (EPA).

Dr Flugge, who makes a valuable contribution to the Foundation as a Parks Ambassador, is an environmental scientist with more than 30 years’ experience in resources, agriculture, governance, and conservation.

She has been Chair of the Ningaloo Coast World Heritage Advisory Committee since 2019.

Regina is also a member of the Australian World Heritage Advisory Committee and previously served as a Deputy Chair and member of the Biosecurity Council of Western Australia, and a member of the Conservation and Parks Commission.

The EPA’s operations are governed by the Environmental Protection Act 1986 with members appointed by the Governor of Western Australia on the nomination of the Minister for Environment.
