WA World Ocean Day 2026
An evening of ocean stories, science and community on the WA coast.
Hosted by The Jock Clough Marine Foundation, WA World Ocean Day brings together scientists, ocean lovers, industry and the broader community to connect with and celebrate our marine environment.
This year’s free event will be held on Monday 8 June from 5pm to 9pm at Gage Roads Brew Co on Victoria Quay, Fremantle Port.
Western Australia, with 13,000 kilometres of coastline, is home to one of the most diverse and remarkable marine environments in the world, shaping our lifestyle, culture and our connection to place.

Jock Clough, a Trustee of The Jock Clough Marine Foundation, Founder of WA World Ocean Day and Chair of the Advisory Board to The University of Western Australia’s Oceans Institute is a Park Ambassador.
“Jock has previously hosted the WA World Ocean Day and ensured that it is a celebration and connection to our precious marine environment for attendees, with a mixture of scientific learning and uplifting stories. The focus is on what makes oceans so special, and this provides the motivation for action by all of us. In addition to his planning for, and sponsorship of, this important day Jock’s support for the WA Parks Foundation is very much appreciated,” said the Hon Kerry Sanderson AC CVO, our Foundation’s Chair.
