The Gloucester Tree in Gloucester National Park near Pemberton has officially reopened following major restoration works, giving Western Australians another reason to head south and explore the incredible natural experiences right here in our own backyard.
Standing 61 metres tall, the heritage-listed karri giant has been welcoming adventurous climbers for generations. Visitors can once again tackle the tree’s famous steel spikes to reach the lookout platform, now at the redeveloped heights of 37 metres.
The reopening follows extensive conservation and safety upgrades, and the climb rewards every step with sweeping panoramic views across the surrounding forest.
Whether you’re planning a weekend escape, a family road trip or simply ticking off another WA bucket-list experience, the Gloucester Tree is once again ready to welcome visitors.
