Perth to host 2026 World Trails Conference

The World Trails Conference is coming to Perth in October 2026, the first time the event has been held in the Southern Hemisphere.

The conference is a global gathering of trail experts, trail destinations and academics, who meet every two years to ensure the benefits trails offer society continue to be sustainable and supported around the world.

Trails for the Future: Connection, Culture and Conservation’, is theme of the three-day program, recognising the ever-evolving role of trails as catalysts for environmental stewardship, cultural understanding, and global connection—celebrating the way trails link people, place and purpose.

Organisers and Tourism WA expect the event will attract around 450 delegates from 35 countries, bringing together global trail leaders, land custodians, tourism innovators, environmental advocates and community trail builders.

The conference will feature a diverse program of keynote speakers, panel discussions, cultural presentations and interactive workshops.
