Regenerative tourism theme for FACET forum

FACET (Forum Advocating Cultural and Eco-Tourism) will open its program for 2025 with a Regenerative Tourism Forum on 20th February at Mandoon Estate in the Swan Valley, near Perth.
In simple terms, regenerative tourism seeks to ensure travel and tourism deliver a net benefit for people, places and nature.
With a focus on “Tourism that Gives Back”, the forum will bring together industry leaders, researchers, policymakers and practitioners for an inspiring program of keynote presentations, expert panel discussions and interactive workshops.
Attendees will gain insights into how regenerative tourism practices can foster cultural appreciation, environmental sustainability and economic resilience in a rapidly evolving global tourism landscape.
“Regenerative tourism goes beyond sustainability,” said FACET Chairperson Ryan Mossny. “It’s about leaving places better than we found them.
“Through collaboration and shared knowledge, we aim to empower tourism operators and stakeholders to create meaningful, lasting benefits for the environment, culture and local economies.”
Ryan is a WA Parks Foundation Ambassador and a member of the Foundation’s Ambassador Advisory Committee.
