Explore Event: Robin Ramble Walk with Off the Beaten Track
This October, join us on a gentle 3.5km walk along the beautiful Robin Ramble trail at Bungendore, created especially for the over 55s. With the theme “Finding Friendship Among the Wildflowers”, these hikes are about more than just spotting native orchids and seasonal blooms—they’re a celebration of connection, community, and the wellbeing that comes from spending time in nature.
Led by friendly guides, you’ll meander through wildflower-rich bushland, learn to identify unique blooms, and perhaps spot a rare donkey orchid or two. Along the way, we’ll share stories, laughs, and conversations, encouraging the simple yet powerful act of walking and talking.
We’ll also be joined by local bushcare and landcare groups, who will share how volunteering and connecting with nature can bring purpose, joy, and a renewed sense of belonging. Whether you’re keen to learn, stroll, or simply enjoy good company under the canopy of spring blossoms, this hike offers the perfect way to stretch your legs and grow new friendships—petal by petal.
