Explore: Writing for Wellbeing
This workshop offers guidance, practical tools and inspiration to navigate life challenges, change or uncertainty, such as loss and life transitions. Perhaps you have lost a loved one, face divorce, or are thinking about a career change. Your children leaving home or retiring are other significant life transitions. Or you might have lost connection with your dreams and hopes.
We will use writing to explore possibilities of renewal and positive change. Writing is a powerful pathway that offers validation, self-understanding, clarity and increased wellbeing. This writing is for you personally. There are no special writing skills necessary.
Your facilitator, Katrin Den Elzen (PhD) has written the grief memoir Locked In – Daring to Break Free, which prompted her to specialise in Writing for Wellbeing as facilitator, author and researcher. Katrin teaches Writing for Wellbeing at Murdoch University for counselling students. She has also published two books as lead editor: Writing for Wellbeing: Theory, Research and Practice (2023) and Living with Loss: From Grief to Wellbeing (2024).
