About the Event

Start your school holidays with a creative bang!

Introducing ‘Art in the Park’ – a festival of simultaneous art experiences set in and around the Discovery Centre, suitable for all ages and stages, adults and children alike.

Some of the fantastic art activities on offer across the morning include:

  •  Early childhood arts and crafts on the west lawn;
  • Clay play in our STEM lab;

  • A watercolour workshop in the multipurpose classroom;

  • Landscape drawing on the east lawn;

  • Fabric leaf printing on the verandah;

  • Recycled and mixed media craft;

  • Colouring stations (self-guided).

Spend as much or as little time as you like in each area – the choice is yours!

This all-ages event is one of five unique offerings this spring, as part of the ‘In the Park’ project. The WA Gould League is proud to partner with the WA Parks Foundation to bring creativity, culture, and connection to the heart of Perth, through a brand-new event series designed to encourage people to enjoy natural local spaces and promote creativity and wellbeing.

WHAT TO BRING: A hat, water-bottle, old clothes or smock, and covered shoes. All art materials will be provided.

COST: $25 per participant. Non-participating parents don’t require a ticket, however we encourage adults to take part! Siblings under two years are free of charge.
