Feature Event: Free Bird Mask Making Workshop at WA Museum Boola Bardip

Free Bird Mask Making Workshop
When: Saturday 11 & Sunday 12 October
What: Perfect for kids (and kids at heart!) to get creative. No bookings required.
About: Make your own bird mask, inspired by real species like the Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo or invent a whole new one. Decorate, colour, and bring your bird to life – then swoop home in your masterpiece.

Plus, make sure to check out the Spring into Parks Community Showcase these September School Holidays, featuring a stunning quilt by the WA Quilters Association and student artwork created through the FORM Creative Schools program.

This quilt banner was inspired by the beauty and uniqueness of Western Australia’s national parks and reserves. It was made by members of the West Australian Quilters Association and gifted to the WA Parks Foundation for use at the Spring into Parks program of events. Thirty-nine quilters contributed to the banner, which is both machine and hand-sewn and made up of 80 individual 8-inch mini quilts depicting letters and Western Australian fauna, flora and geological features.

Discover the beauty and wonder of WA’s spectacular natural areas and enjoy the health benefits that come from spending time in nature.
