Feature: Walpole Wilderness BioBlitz

This year’s Walpole Wilderness Bioblitz will take place in the stunning lower reaches of the Deep River, nestled behind majestic Mt Clare. Here, you’ll step into the world of the iconic Red Tingle forests—a truly ancient and awe-inspiring ecosystem found nowhere else on Earth. But that’s just the beginning. This beautifully diverse location will have us surveying a wide range of habitats: from towering jarrah forests and vibrant coastal heathlands to hidden peat wetlands, the Deep River itself, stretches of the Nornalup Inlet and even pockets of unspoiled coastal beach.
A detailed schedule of activities will be shared with all registered participants in September—get ready for a weekend of discovery!
Kick things off at our Registration Evening on Friday from 5:30 to 7:00pm at the Walpole Country Club. The evening will feature a series of informative presentations and is your chance to get the latest updates on site conditions, meet fellow participants, sign up to activities and get fully prepared for the weekend ahead. We strongly encourage everyone to attend—it’s the perfect way to start your Bioblitz experience.
