Feature: Perth Hills WanderFest – FR Berry Reserve Guided Hike for Beginners

Lace up your boots and join us for Perth Hills WanderFest  – five trails, endless views, and a chance to reconnect with nature like never before from 26 – 29 September 2025.

The WanderFest Gidgegannup Trail is designed for beginner and first-time hikers, offering an easy-going 3km walk through one of the Perth Hills’ most underrated pockets of wilderness.

Tucked away in F.R. Berry Reserve, one of the largest nature reserves in the City of Swan, this out-and-back trail winds through jarrah, marri, and wandoo woodlands, following the gentle curves of Wooroloo Brook and skirting granite outcrops dusted with wildflowers in spring. The terrain is mostly flat with a few short, fun inclines—just enough to add a little adventure without being too much.

This WanderFest experience also includes a forest-fresh afternoon tea, return transport to Settlers’ Common East, and a goodie bag to take home as a little reminder of your day.
