Celebrate the wonder of nature as quokka joeys emerge on Wadjemup / Rottnest Island with a weekend of family fun celebrating the island’s most famous resident, with live entertainment, wildlife encounters, hands-on activities, sustainable crafts and outdoor adventures for all ages. The Noongar season of Djilba marks the beginning of spring, bringing warmer weather, flourishing native plants and the emergence of quokka joeys from their mothers’ pouches. This event is free and runs till 13th September, however registrations are required.
