Capitalising on Western Australia’s wildflower bounty

Western Australia has some 12,500 flowering species, 60 per cent of which are found nowhere else in the world. The wildflower season, producing an extravaganza of colour and interest, attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

Making the most of opportunities to take best tourism advantage of this unique point of difference for Western Australia will be the central theme of a workshop at Fraser’s Function Centre, King’s Park from 12 noon to 5 p.m. on 22 May.
The event has been organised by FACET (Forum Advocating Cultural and Eco-tourism Inc) in partnership with Tourism WA and the Parks and Wildlife Service (Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions). Event sponsors are the RAC and the City of Perth.
