Celebrating birds through the lens

Birdlife Australia’s third annual Photography Awards competition is open for entries until 3 August. There are nine main categories including the Portfolio prize and a Youth category for entrants under the age of 18 years. While most of the old favourites are returning, there are two new categories: Backyard Birds and Birds in Flight.

Nikon Australia and Lake Cowal Foundation are sponsoring the 2020 awards, each category winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize, with a whopping $5,000 cash going to the portfolio winner. To be eligible for the portfolio prize, entrants must submit at least 6 different photographs as part of a cohesive portfolio.
