A series of 24 cultural workshops presented by Dale Tilbrook, Director of the Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery in the Swan Valley offers fascinating insights into the history of Aboriginal people pre-European settlement.

Workshop series offers cultural learnings and experiences
Other elements include discovering the health benefits of Australian bushfoods and experiencing new tastes and textures through sampling of fruits, nuts, herbs and spices.
Art sessions for kids and adults are also available as part of this interesting series.
As well as her gallery role, Dale is a Director of the WA Parks Foundation Board and a Parks Ambassador. Her Aboriginal Cultural Workshops series runs from March to June, with support from Tourism WA and the City of Swan.
“It has been a pleasure to develop this new series,” Dale said. The offering has been designed to create opportunities for school students to learn about Aboriginal culture. It has been structured also to be of interest to the domestic tourism market,” Dale said.
