Welcome aboard, Matilda
Creating and implementing web and social media strategies for promotional purposes is one of the strengths the newest member of the WA Parks Foundation team brings to her role.
Matilda Cunningham, appointed as Marketing and Community Engagement Project Officer, has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Curtin University, majoring in journalism and screen arts.
She has recently returned from a working holiday in the U.K. where she gained experience with a recruitment consultancy that specialises in events, marketing and financial services.
She was previously Communications and Marketing Manager for the Wirrpanda Foundation (WF). Significantly expanding WF’s social media and community/business network were among her achievements in that job.
In the newly created position, Matilda will be applying her project management and community engagement skills to support the redevelopment of the WA Parks Foundation website and the delivery and continued improvement of the Foundation’s Communication and Engagement Strategy.
As well as her interest in creative storytelling through film, photography and writing (web and social content, news and feature articles and blog posts), Matilda is a keen netballer and swimmer.
Her appointment to the WA Parks Foundation has been assisted by the recent Lotterywest grant.
