What’s happening in parks this weekend

We’ve found some events and activities happening across Parks to help get your exploration of our national parks started this weekend.

Aboriginal Cultural Experience

Learn about the world’s oldest living culture, experience didgeridoo playing, spear throwing and find out the significance of our plants and animals to the original custodians of this area.
When: Sunday 30 September at 2pm and 3pm

Nearer to Nature – Around the campfire

A good ol’ fashioned sing-a-long! Sit around the campfire for an activity the whole family can enjoy. Includes an up close encounter with native animals.
When: Saturday 29 September, from 5pm -9pm
Where: Perth Hills Discovery Centre

Kanyana Wildlife – Discovery Tour

Experience close encounters with native animals, visit the Wildlife Hospital and explore interactive displays in the Discovery Centre.

When: Sunday 30 September from 10am – 12pm
Where: Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre
Cost: From $10. Bookings are essential.

Hidden Treasures Bloom Festival

The event introduces visitors to the wonders of the Great Southern including their magnificent wildflowers, natural attractions such as the Stirling Range, Fitzgerald and Porongurup National Parks, award-winning wines and locally grown foods, open gardens in full bloom, train rides and whale-watching along the coast.
